If you go back to the writing you will see that there is a report on my Utopia project. In the report this is what I was talking about. I used minecraft to help me do my project. The project took at least 1 week and I am very proud of it. The best part is that when The project was over I was able to play and build more on it. The only thing that I would have done though is put more decoration into the river and the trade center (2 slide). I think that this is the best project that I have done so far.
In quarter 2 we were working on Africa. Africa is a vast land with many good and bad things. One of the many things that we learned are the trade systems of Africa. Africa had these trade routes to sell goods such as salt, gold, spices, and other good stuff. In the process of this we had to make a journal about living and surviving in the Saharan desert and trading. I got an A+ on the project and I liked how the story came along. I wish though I had a better ending to the story.
I have to admit we had many fun projects to do for quarter 3 in my Social studies. For right now though I want to put up a recent project that we did; Mission Impossible. Mission Impossible was about helping a civilization with the use of GMO and potentially saving them as well. One thing to know though this is not about today's problems. We are chosen to do a problem that was in history. For us it was about the Black Death. The Black Death was multiple plagues that killed 75 million people by spreading deadly plagues. What was the best part of the project was that we were table presenting our solutions and we can make food to get bonus points to our grade. Here is the picture and this is what our table looked like.
For projects in quarter 4 I have decided to share the items that are going to go on my poster for the renaissance fair. The renaissance fair is an event at my school where you talk about the history of famous people in the Renaissance. The best part is that you get to research only one of the famous people (you get to pick) and you act like them at the Renaissance. I picked Robert Hooke. Robert Hooke was a scientist in the Renaissance that discovered cells and small organisms by using a microscope he made. Here are a few summaries and projects that will go on my board that are about Robert Hooke. If you can't read the summaries copy and paste the words into a word document to read (also, there is more detail about the Renaissance project in the writing section and the world geography section).
