I chose this piece of writing because it relates to my utopia project that I did. The utopia took a while but when I started doing the report that was the easy part. If I went back though I would have made it more descriptive and a little longer. The best part was though was when I was building the utopia I was using one of my games to help me. It looks awesome. I based my utopia off of the middle ages and a news reporting crew stumbled across it. I made sure that the report is descriptive and thought out. What is your favorite part?

Along with the Seefolks in the reading section, we had to pretend that we are part of the book or rewrite a part of our life that included us interacting with a garden or tree. In mine it was a real life moment that happened to me when I was 4 years old. We were looking for a house an we came across one with 3 avocado trees. I hope you like what happens in my story as much as I liked having my avocado trees.

For quarter 3 we recently had a project called Mission Impossible. Mission Impossible is a project in which you are assigned a problem in history and you are suppose to save a civilization that had that certain problem by using a GMO. For my group we had to research about the Black Death in Medieval Europe (learn more by going to world geography section). Before we started our project we researched a little and our teacher let us do a timed writing of what it would be like to be stuck in that civilization. I wrote a first person narrative about a person witnessing the Black Death and how sad it made him feel. Here is a copy of the story and hope you like it.
Men, women, and children drop to the ground suffering from plaques. As I look I see many people that I have known for years. I feel hopeless as they are dropping to their deaths. I keep walking away from the scene, hoping that I did not get infected with one of the plaques. As I walk the word that I heard before pops into my mind; The Black Death. People said that it was deadly, enough to wipe out a civilization. I guess they were right. How did this plaque come to get us? What did we do that made it so we would die? My mind keeps racing until I feel something on my arm. It feels and looks like it’s swelling. I try to touch it but pain instantly shoots up and down my arm. I scream from the pain. The pain soon subsided and an itch came from my chest. I scratch but it did nothing, I keep scratching until the point where it hurts. That’s where I suddenly stop walking and I realize something; I’m infected.
I run home as fast as I can. Pain, itching, and swelling are all over my body and it hurts very badly. I get inside but as soon as I do I start coughing. Not just a normal cough, but a cough where it hurts every part of your body. I’m suddenly weak from the pain. I fall to my knees, dazed and confused. Seconds later I fall face first to the ground. The cold stone feels good against my skin. I suddenly fall asleep.
I wake up hours later, unsure of what happened or where I am. As I get up I feel like I was shot. The pain that I feel is terrible. I take a look at my body and I see the worst things I wish I never saw. Bumps the size of my hand all over my body. I run outside to find a doctor but no one was outside. I run downtown and that’s where I see everyone…
...dead.

For Quarter 4 we are learning about the Renaissance and the famous people that were part of the Renaissance. In class we have to pick one famous Renaissance person and research about them. I chose a man named Robert Hooke. Robert Hooke was scientist who made many discoveries about cells and small organisms that the eye could not see. To research small organisms Robert Hooke created and used a microscope so he can study. We are still working on the Renaissance in class but from beginning to end it is so fun to do. The project I want to show is a newspaper ad about Robert Hooke helping us today discover many new kinds of cells and organisms. I got a A+ from the assignment and I think that it is a perfect project to share.
